Financing Long Island Senior Housing Property Secures $29 Million Financing

Sculptor Real Estate and Benchmark Senior Living have secured $29 million in financing for Whisper Woods of Smithtown, a 101-unit assisted living and memory care community located on Long Island, New York. The three-year loan was provided by a regional bank that has not been disclosed.

The property, which was constructed in 2018, boasts an array of amenities and services to cater to the needs of its residents. Each unit is equipped with biometric medication safes and handicap-accessible bathrooms featuring roll-in showers and enhanced safety features.

JLL represented the borrowers through a team led by Joel Mendes, Ted Flagg, and Stephen Van Leer. This recent development marks another successful venture for Long Island’s seniors housing market as it continues to thrive in providing quality care for its aging population.
