San Antonio-based rental community developer Embrey is now sold on built-to-rent (BTR) properties. The company will soon launch its third BTR community in Boerne, a San Antonio suburb. Construction of the 214-unit Collection at Boerne is set to begin in June and expected to take approximately one year to complete.
The homes will be duplexes that appear as single family units with an average size of 1,000 square feet each and rent ranging from $1,600-$2,300 per month. According to the San Antonio Business Journal , this project has been backed by a $168 million private equity fund issued by Embrey at the beginning of last year with plans for total investments worth up 500 million dollars into single family rentals by 2024 across Texas alone where 15 completed BTR communities have already been established comprising 3107 homes combined.
