The NBA’s Orlando Magic has joined the trend of sports and entertainment districts with a new $500 million project. The team has partnered with JMA Ventures LLC and Machete Group, both experienced in developing sports-related projects, to design and finance the venture.
The proposed 8.5-acre development will be located across from the Amway Center’s northern entrance. It is set to include a 250-room hotel tower, 420,000 square feet of office space (including the Magic’s corporate headquarters), apartments, retail and dining options, as well as a central plaza.
Construction is expected to begin by late 2024 with an estimated completion date in early 2026. With its proximity to L.A Live – home of NBA teams LA Lakers and LA Clippers – officials hope this project will emulate its success.
JMA Ventures LLC is known for their expertise in development and acquisition while Machete Group specializes in venue development strategies for various clients within the sports industry. Together they make up an expert team that aims to bring this exciting new district to life for Orlando Magic fans.
