Keen-Summit Capital Partners LLC has been appointed by the Federal Bankruptcy Court to oversee the competitive sale of Banyan Cay Golf & Resort, a 250-acre luxury resort property located in West Palm Beach. This includes a nearly completed 150-room Hyatt boutique hotel, 130 acres of a golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, and approved development sites for 179 condo units and 22 villas plus additional land.
In March 2020, current developers, owners, and operators of Banyan Cay Resort & Golf LLC filed for Chapter 11 reorganization. The golf course has had approximately 200 members since opening in 2017 and the hotel is almost finished with construction.
Matthew Bordwin from Keen-Summit Capital Partners LLC stated that several offers have been received with stalking horse contracts selected for all properties included in this sale process. The auction will take place on June 13th with bids due on June 8th respectively.
