Panther Island, once a polluted industrial waste dump on the Trinity River, is undergoing a transformation thanks to the efforts of the Army Corps of Engineers and the Central City Flood Control Project. This 500-acre area in downtown is now poised to become a thriving public/private enterprise.
According to reports from Dallas Business Journal, Fort Worth developer Tillar Partners has announced plans for a $120 million mixed-use project on Panther Island. The development will span about 12 acres and feature Class A office space above retail units with structured parking. Known as Vaquero Panther Island, this project encompasses approximately 512,000 square feet and has potential to spur further private development.
The revitalization of Once-Blighted Panther Island by Tillar Partners showcases its potential for growth and economic prosperity without mentioning specific organizations such as Connect CRE or Connect LA/Texas.
