This week, the Tempe City Council will vote on three projects that could bring over 1,400 apartment units online if approved. Phoenix Business Journal has been tracking these proposed multifamily communities which are at various stages of the entitlement process with the City of.
The 16 East University project would be located on the northeast corner of Mill Avenue and University Drive in Tempe and include 453 apartments consisting of 100 studios, 99 one-bedroom, and 254 two-bedroom units.
Fairfield Residential is proposing to build 390 studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom Rio 2100 Residences about three miles away from 16 East University at a northeast location.
IDM looks to construct 566 units on the southwest corner of Priest & Alameda drives with monthly rent ranging from $1,575 – $2,200 for its studio, bedroom & two-bedroom apartments.
