"Discover Macy's New 900K SF Tomball Distribution Center"

The recently completed 908,000-square-foot facility in Tomball was made possible through an economic incentive program. Macy’s has received $580,000 in tax incentives from the city for the development and operation of their new facility. In order to qualify for these incentives, Macy’s must invest a minimum of $35 million into the project and create at least 103 full-time jobs over a period of five years. This project is just one phase of a larger business park that is currently being developed.

Lovett Industrial, based in Houston, and Clarion Partners from New York City collaborated on this project which is located on the southwest corner where Grand Parkway intersects with State Highway 249. The warehouse was constructed by Harvey Builders out of Houston and boasts impressive features such as 40-foot clear heights and ample parking space with room for trailers as well as cars.

Although slightly smaller than their previous distribution center, this new facility maximizes efficiency by consolidating all operations onto one floor instead of three separate floors like before. It will handle various tasks including store fulfillment, direct-to-consumer delivery for large items such as furniture or appliances , central returns processing ,and storage space specifically designated for toys.
