**99 Ranch Market Set to Open Portland Location**
99 Ranch Market, the popular Asian grocery chain operated by Buena Park, California-based Tawa Supermarket Inc., is set to open its second Oregon location later this month.
The new store will mark the company’s first in Portland and will be located at 10544 S.E. Washington Street in a space previously occupied by OfficeMax and Big Lots. According to the Portland Business Journal, this will be 99 Ranch Market’s 65th location nationwide.
The company opened its first Oregon store in Beaverton in 2017, occupying 40,000 square feet at 8155 SW Hall Boulevard.
Founded in 1984, 99 Ranch Market has grown into one of the largest Asian supermarket chains in the U.S., with more than 60 locations across 11 states. The Portland store will also feature a Miniso, a global lifestyle retailer, and plans are in place for the opening of a Hong Kong-style dim sum café later this year.
