900 Apartment Units Planned for Tobin Hill

Tobin Hill, a historic neighborhood in San Antonio, is set to undergo major changes as Rockspring moves forward with its plan to build a 900-unit apartment complex. The city’s Zoning Commission has approved the project and buildings are already being demolished to make room for the development.

Rockspring acquired most of the necessary parcels for $13.3 million and plans to build on 15 lots bordered by West Josephine Street, East Dewey Place, North St. Mary’s Street, West Grayson Street and Polk Street. According to a site plan submitted by CREO Architecture, there will be four separate buildings that will house 900 residential units along with 950 parking spots and approximately 60,000 square feet of commercial space.

Tobin Hill is located north of downtown San Antonio and is known for its rich history as one of the city’s oldest urban neighborhoods. With this new development on the horizon, Tobin Hill is sure to see even more growth in years ahead.
