7 Tower Nashville Development: First Activity Revealed

Demolition has commenced on a former car dealership to make way for MidCity Nashville, a seven-tower mixed-use development. Leading the project are GBT and investment firm Monarch Alternative Capital.

The initial phase of the development will feature four towers surrounding a central pavilion, with plans for an additional street connecting McGavock Street and Broadway. The second phase will include three more towers around a pedestrian plaza and two pavilions.

MidCity Nashville offers various residential, retail, office spaces as well as potential hotel accommodations. The buildings range from 20 to 35 floors in height.

According to reports from the Nashville Business Journal in December 2021, GBT Realty purchased the Midtown site formerly occupied by Beaman’s auto dealership for $110 million.

The project team includes renowned architecture firm Gensler and CBRE’s Nashville office. This recent activity marks significant progress on this highly anticipated development in Midtown.
