Aja Constructions recently acquired a 43-acre plot of land located off Fayetteville Road, just south of the Highway 70 split, for $13.5 million. The Town of Garner approved the rezoning request in late 2023, allowing for the development of Vintage Garner – a mixed-use project featuring 654 multifamily units and approximately 40,000 square feet of retail space.
According to an article by Triangle Business Journal, Aja Constructions submitted a master plan along with their rezoning proposal. This plan includes ten four-story residential buildings, four retail pads and several carriage houses. The development will also offer various amenities such as two swimming pools, a fire pit area, play field and playgrounds for children to enjoy. Additionally there will be public plaza areas as well as two dog parks complete with dog wash stations. Other features include outdoor seating under shade structures along with walking trails and enhanced pedestrian corridors.
The commercial mixed-use zoning approval came with certain conditions that must be met by Aja Constructions during construction including providing at least two residential buildings equipped with coworking spaces totaling no less than 2
