Amazon has announced its plans to occupy a 1.2 million square foot distribution center located at Loop 303, south of the southwest corner of Cotton Lane and Camelback Road in Goodyear. This move will bring an additional 500 job opportunities to the area. The Prologis 303 Business Park has been selected as the site for Amazon’s third industrial lease in Phoenix metro area, with a projected start date of 2024. In addition, Amazon has already leased two other buildings totaling over one million square feet each in Buckeye and Glendale this year, bringing their total new leases for the year up to 3.5 million square feet.
According to reports from The Phoenix Business Journal, this new fulfillment center will be situated next to a future Aldi distribution center on Loop 303. Aldi is currently working on initial plans for their own warehouse spanning approximately570,000 square feet but with potential expansion capabilities up to nearly980 ,000squarefeet pending approval from Goodyear city officials.
