"50-Year Old Aventura Plaza Sells for $48M"

Elysee Investments, a Miami-based company, has recently acquired Aventura Plaza for $48 million. The retail property is located at 17801 Biscayne Boulevard in Aventura and was sold at a price of $533 per square foot.

The property consists of a 90,000-square-foot shopping center and an office building. The two-story office building spans 23,554 square feet while the retail portion covers 66,300 square feet. Recently, Plum Market took over the space previously occupied by Office Depot.

The transaction included seller financing worth $26.4 million which will mature in five years. Marilyn Klompus from Aventura Plaza Holdings was the seller of this commercial center that has been owned by her family for decades since its opening in 1972.

Haim Yehezcal represented Elysee Investments as the buyer in this deal.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Mark Gilbert along with Adam Feinstein and Mitchell Halpern were responsible for brokering this transaction where they reported that currently the commercial center is leased up to about 92%.
