According to a recent report from Community Impact, a university representative announced that they are collaborating with developer Midway and construction could begin as early as 2025. The hotel will be situated directly across from Aspire San Marcos, a student housing complex located at 101 Concho St.
The university has also expressed their plans to offer an exceptional dining experience at the hotel, featuring a high-end restaurant, rooftop bar and lounge. Additionally, there will be a coffee bar on the ground level and an event lawn for guests to enjoy. In addition to these amenities, the school intends to establish a hospitality management program that will provide students with internship opportunities at the hotel while also offering classes on-site.
Midway’s impressive portfolio includes approximately 45 million square feet of properties ranging from mixed-use developments and office spaces to institutional buildings and master-planned residential communities.
