### Dallas Stars to Build $45M Youth Multisports Center in Northlake
The Dallas Stars hockey team is developing a **225,000-square-foot indoor youth multisports center**, named *StarCenter Multisport Northlake*.
The facility will feature **two NHL-regulation ice rinks** as well as **eight basketball courts**, which can be converted into **16 volleyball courts**. Construction began in **April 2024** and is expected to be completed by **fall 2025**, with **Lee Lewis Construction** overseeing the project.
Located next to **Chadwick Farms**, the sports center will be part of a larger development that includes **up to 900 multifamily units, entertainment venues, retail shops, restaurants, and a hotel with a conference center**, according to *Community Impact*.
The facility, costing approximately **$45 million**, will be largely funded through rent payments from the Stars. Additionally, the **town’s future hotels and associated tax revenue** will contribute to financing the project. Northlake is expected to have **12 hotels** in the coming years. While the town will **own the facility**, the **Stars will operate and maintain it**.
