"40K-SF Lease Signed by Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on UWS"

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has secured a three-year lease for 40,000 square feet at the West End Collegiate Church facility on the Upper West Side. This marks a new era in spiritual collaboration as multiple faith communities will now share this property.

Both religious groups will coexist within the building, utilizing dedicated and shared spaces such as the Sanctuary, gym, multipurpose room, kitchen and chapel. Discussions are also underway with a third religious group to join this multifaith campus.

Representing the landlord in this transaction were OPEN’s Stephen Powers, Lindsay Ornstein Amy Lawrence and Julia Fish while CBRE’s Mark Zussman represented The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

According to Stephen Powers from OPEN: “West End Collegiate was seeking to activate their recently vacated space in order to support their programmatic and financial goals.” He further added that many religious and cultural organizations were drawn by its unique combination of dedicated entrance access along with multiple public assembly spaces.”
