"330-Acre Mixed-Use Project Approved Near Samsung Plant"

Megatel Group has received approval for a 330-acre mixed-use project in Taylor, located near the newly constructed Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. factory.

The project will be situated on the east side of the city, west of Carlos G. Parker Boulevard and north of State Highway 79.

Plans for this development include over 1,000 residential units on the northern portion, featuring a mix of single-family homes (122), multifamily units (786), and carriage house apartments (153). Additionally, there are plans for approximately 21,000 square feet of live-work-play units to accommodate small business owners who wish to operate from their home.

According to reports from Austin Business Journal , an estimated total area measuring at around 2.03 million square feet is designated for industrial use in the southern section.

This new development is largely driven by Samsung’s $45 billion investment in building its chip fabrication plant within this region.
