"28 Liberty in Fidi: Stripe Subleases 147K SF for Commercial Use"

Stripe, a payment company, has recently signed a sublease agreement with insurance giant AIG for 147,000 square feet of space at 28 Liberty in the Financial District. The 60-story tower will now house Stripe’s new offices on floors 45-48. This move signifies both relocation and expansion for Stripe from their current office at Jack Resnick & Sons’ property on Water Street.

AIG had previously consolidated their New York City spaces into a total of 220,000 square feet at this iconic building in the summer of last year. However, they did not actively market the available sublease space until now.

JLL’s Peter Riguardi, Joe Messina, Mike Shenot and Andrew Coe represented AIG while CBRE’s Sacha Zarba , Jeff Fischer and Joe D’Apice represented Stripe during negotiations.

This news marks yet another major transaction within FiDi as companies continue to seek prime locations within this bustling financial hub.
