Delancey Street Associates, a joint venture of development partners, has recently leased a 5,850-square-foot office space at 250 Bowery to the New Museum. The museum will use this temporary location for its administrative offices while its main building undergoes expansion and is expected to open in early 2025. As Manhattan’s only museum dedicated solely to contemporary art, the New Museum continues to grow with the addition of this new space.
The retail condominium at 250 Bowery was acquired by Delancey Street Associates from the International Center of Photography as part of their move to Essex Crossing’s new location at 242 Broome. Developed by Delancey Street Associates themselves, Essex Crossing offers a mix of residential units and commercial spaces in addition to community areas within Lower East Side.
This recent lease agreement between Delancey Street Associates and the New Museum marks an exciting step forward for both parties involved in furthering contemporary art appreciation within Manhattan’s bustling landscape.
