Sky Harbour Group has recently announced the development of a new Home Base campus at Chicago Executive Airport (PWK). This medium-sized airport, located ten miles north of O’Hare International Airport, sees nearly 100,000 aircraft annually.
The upcoming Sky Harbour campus will span 25 acres and will be constructed in three phases. It is projected to create numerous local jobs and bring in an estimated $550 million in economic benefits. The first phase of the project will encompass over 130,000 square feet and include seven to eight hangars along with offices and ground support equipment space.
This state-of-the-art facility aims to provide “the ultimate home base for business aviation” by offering private hangars for approximately twenty top corporate and privately-owned jets in the Chicago area. These services are exclusively dedicated to tenants based at the airport. With this being their seventh location after successful developments completed or underway in Houston, Nashville, Miami, Denver Phoenix, and Dallas; Sky Harbour continues its expansion across major cities nationwide.
