Sky Harbour Group has announced the development of a 25-acre Home Base campus at Chicago Executive Airport (PWK). The medium-sized airport, located ten miles north of O’Hare International Airport, sees an annual traffic of nearly 100,000 aircraft. This new project is expected to bring in hundreds of jobs and generate $550 million in economic benefits for the local community.
The Sky Harbour campus will be built in three phases and cover over 130,000 square feet. It will feature seven to eight hangars along with offices and space for ground support equipment. With its prime location near O’Hare International Airport, this campus aims to offer top-notch facilities for corporate and privately-owned business jets. It will serve as the ideal home base for approximately twenty such aircrafts with exclusive services dedicated solely to based tenants.
This latest development marks Sky Harbour’s seventh location after successful projects completed or underway in Houston, Nashville, Miami Denver Phoenix ,and Dallas .
