"$21 Million Sale of Rebuilt QVC Rocky Mount Warehouse After 2021 Fire"

QVC’s former Rocky Mount, NC warehouse was damaged in a devastating fire on Dec. 18, 2021. After extensive renovations to repair and repaint the facility, it has been sold for $20.8 million to RMQ Ventures LLC – an entity affiliated with Cogency Global that lists New York residents Schmiley Schick and Jonathan Tawil among its company officials. The new owners’ plans for the site have not yet been disclosed but Carolinas Gateway Partnership is showing the 1.2 million-square-foot distribution center on Highway 64 across from Kingsboro CSX Select Megasite to companies who may be interested in taking up space there; giving a boost to warehouse industry in North Carolina’s Greater Triangle area as a result of this sale.
