Arizona-based real estate software company, Lessen, is making a strategic move by relocating its Chicago office to 203 North LaSalle Street. The 17-story Class A office building is located in the city’s Central Loop tech district and owned by Sumitomo Corporation of Americas.
Lessen has secured a lease for 77,000 square feet in this prime location across from the James R. Thompson Center. Tenant representation was provided by JLL’s Brian Means and Jake Ehrenberg while Transwestern’s Eric Myers, Kathleen Bertrand and John Nelson manage leasing at the property.
In an effort to expand their corporate presence in Chicago, Lessen acquired SMS Assist last year – a facilities maintenance technology company also based in the city. According to CEO Jay McKee: “When we acquired SMS Assist last year…Chicago [was] described as ‘the greatest city’.” This sentiment further solidified their decision to relocate here.
One of the driving factors behind this move was Google’s announcement that they will be moving into Thompson Center – establishing LaSalle Street as one of Chicago’s premier tech corridors. McKee states: “This location situates us perfectly for our next chapter of corporate expansion.” With this relocation comes exciting opportunities for growth within Lessen and potential collaborations with other leading companies within this thriving area.
