20-Year Timeline for Prosper's Expansive Project: A Look Ahead

The Prosper City Council approved a rezoning for a mixed-use project that developers anticipate will take 20 years to build out. The development, named Pradera, is spread over 34.7 acres along the Dallas North Tollway and includes 730 multifamily units, office space, retail space and a hotel. A development agreement was also approved during the Aug 22 meeting by BOKA Powell architects who presented the project.

The timeline for construction of Pradera is as follows: August 2023 – zoning awarded; 2024-26 – infrastructure construction both on-site and off-site; 2026-29 – townhome construction; 2030–32 – apartments and town square constructed; 2035–36 – southwest corner retail pad site built ;2035–38 – condo buildings No 1 & 2 constructed ;2038–40 – office building No 1 built ;2040–42 boulevard retail pad site constructed ;and finally in 2040—43 office building No 2 completed .
