The Prosper City Council recently approved a rezoning for an expansive mixed-use project that is expected to take 20 years to build out. The development, named Pradera, will span 34.7 acres along the Dallas North Tollway and feature 730 multifamily units, office space, retail space and a hotel. BOKA Powell architects presented the project during an Aug 22 meeting where a development agreement was also approved.
A timeline for Pradera’s construction has been established with infrastructure work both on-site and off-site beginning in 2024 through 2026 followed by townhome construction from 2026 through 2029; retail buildings No 1 & 2 from 2030 through 1932; apartments & town square from 1932 – 1935; hotel construction between 1935 – 1936; southwest corner retail pad site between 1935 – 1938; condo buildings No 1 & 2 between 1938 – 1940 ; office building No 1 between 1940 – 1942 ; boulevard retail pad site in 1940 – 1943 ; office building no 2 in 1943 – 1945 .
