"186-Room Cary Hotel in the Works: Developer Group Plans Ahead"

A team consisting of Hines, Columbia Development, and Affinius Capital is in the works to build a 186-room Marriott hotel in Cary. The location for this project will be behind the Fenton mixed-use development, which spans 92 acres. Mainsail Lodging & Development and Ross Hotel Partners have been brought on as co-developers by the master developers. Additionally, Mainsail will operate the property once it is completed.

The groundbreaking for this project is scheduled for first-quarter 2025 with an expected opening date of first-quarter 2027. The hotel has been designed by BRPH and will be part of Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio Hotels brand. It will feature a signature restaurant and bar on its second floor, as well as a lobby bar and coffee shop. There will also be six meeting rooms spanning over 6,000 square feet of event space available to guests along with a ballroom that can accommodate up to 300 people.

Guests can also enjoy other amenities such as a fitness center and an outdoor heated pool with an expanded sundeck at this new hotel.
