183 Acre Innovation Park on Former Sacramento Kings Arena Site

Argent Development has recently acquired a 183-acre site in northwest Sacramento, formerly home to the Sacramento Kings basketball arena. The company plans to transform this space into a vibrant mixed-use community, known as Innovation Park.

The new community will be located in the Natomas district of Sacramento and will feature various residential options such as single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums and apartments. Additionally, at least 10% of these units will be designated for affordable housing. Along with residential development, Innovation Park will also include a medical campus with a teaching hospital operated by California Northstate University School of Medicine.

Other planned amenities for this innovative project include retail and commercial spaces, an expansive parkland spanning nearly 25 acres and necessary infrastructure/public facilities. This redevelopment marks an exciting new chapter for the former Sleep Train Arena (formerly ARCO Arena), which was demolished in 2022 to make way for progress.

Overall, this acquisition is set to bring significant growth opportunities to the area while providing much-needed housing options and essential services like healthcare and education.
