BPR Properties is seeking approval from the city to construct a new Homewood Suites by Hilton, consisting of 131 rooms near Jacksonville International Airport. The proposed four-story hotel will be located on a 2.6-acre site at 1771 Airport Road, which was purchased by the company for $1.43 million in 2022.
The hotel will offer various amenities such as in-room kitchens, complimentary hot breakfast, and pet-friendly accommodations. Elevate of Atlanta has been chosen as the architect for this project while Ingenium Enterprises Inc. will serve as the project consultant.
According to BPR’s website, they currently have a total of 27 properties that are either open or under construction/development across different locations. With its establishment dating back to1983,BPR has successfully acquired and developed over100 hotels.
This is not BPR’s first venture into the airport area market; in fact,in2022,the Daily Record reported that it had sold Home2 Suites by Hilton Jacksonville Airport for $11.5 million.In2018,a subsidiary of BPR also sold Hyatt Place Jacksonville Airport for $15 .4million.This demonstrates their active involvement and success within this market segment.
