Paigewood and Wile Interests are leading a new mixed-use development that will revitalize a neighborhood of mid-20th century warehouses in Houston’s East Downtown area. This project aims to create a walkable district with restaurants, shops, offices, and green spaces at its core.
The redevelopment will take place over the course of three years in multiple phases. The first phase alone will include 513,000 square feet of mixed-use space: 196,000 square feet for retail and dining establishments; 112,000 square feet for office use; and 205,000 square feet for parking with approximately 650 spaces available.
Gensler – an architecture firm specializing in design and planning – has been tasked with creating the East Blocks’ architectural design that pays tribute to its industrial railway origins.
Construction on Phase One is set to commence during the second quarter of 2024.
